  • WE WON

In May 2015 we were awarded the City Pub of the Year Award by the Bath and Borders CAMRA branch.
We are so proud to win this prestigious award recognising the fantastic standard of our beers, and the knowledge and passion our staff have for the products we serve.
Here’s a photo of a very happy Lucas being presented with the award!

  • James Street Brewery

You can’t have a brew house without fantastic beer, and we are very lucky to have our brewster Anna heading up James Street Brewery right here in the pub. She brews two signature beers – Emperor and Gladiator, and one seasonal beer, which are all exclusively available here. If you find a favourite you can take a litre growler of any of our ales home with you for a tenner!
If you would like to find out more about our brewery, we run tours at 12pm and 6pm every day. £5 per person includes an approximately 30 minute tour covering an introduction to the brewing process, the history of beer, and a tutored tasting of our beers
